A handsome solitary stemmed palm that grows in the Andean foothills from Venezuela to Bolivia. It is often used as a street tree in Bolivia. It grows to height to close to 100 ft. with a 12 inch stem. Its one-inch long fruits are produced in abundance and are yellow to orange in color.
