Hybrid vigor is indeed shown in this robust garden hybrid between two Attalea species that were once thought to be in two different genera. This palm has very long, strongly ascending leaves with evenly spaced leaflets typical of the genus and grows slowly into a large palm over 20 ft. tall with a 30 in thick trunk, larger than either of its two parents.
