General Rules

Welcome to Botanicalauctions.com. Any person who wishes to access this Site to place bids for seeds must accept the terms of service and the conditions of this User Agreement. Please review the following before using this Site. By registering, you are agreeing to all terms, conditions, policies, and guidelines of this User Agreement.

Botanicalauctions.com reserves the right to change any of the terms, conditions, policies, or guidelines contained in this Agreement at any time. Any changes will be effective when posted on the Site. You are responsible for reviewing the Site and any changes that may be posted without notice to you. Continuing to use the Site following the posting of any changes will constitute your acceptance of these changes or modifications.

In order to place bids on Botanicalauctions.com, you must be over the age of eighteen (18) and must be able to legally enter into and form binding contracts under applicable law. To register, you must provide your real name, address, telephone number, and email address.

No Guarantees. No Refunds.

You, our supporters, must be knowledgeable enough to know the risks involved with seed production. Every lot of seed donated to the Seed bank will have different viability rates. Every time you plant a batch of seed even if the viability rate remains constant, (which is impossible) your germ rate will be drastically affected depending on the endless variables associated with the environment at the time and location you sow the seed. Sometimes they will come up like grass sometimes you get nothing.

This is the risk you take with seed. If you cannot afford to take these risks please consider purchasing seedlings from someone who has. Do not assume you can procure seedlings from seed, cheaper than you can purchase seedlings, most educated growers know this is seldom the case depending on the genus and species. Some of the seed offered on this list you will be lucky to wind up with 5 to 10% ever showing a leaf.

All seeds are double checked by the Seed Bank Coordinator and the nursery consultant. They are cleaned, float tested, if appropriate, and shipped promptly.

Our affiliate gardens do their very best to distribute FRESH SEED we can do no more. Everyone involved is a not for profit organization. We must work hard to help this venture remain economically feasible for all players, or it will cease to exist.

Payment Conditions

Payments may be made through PayPal.

You warrant that any payment method selected by when placing your bid shall enable you to make full payment for the seeds chosen, if your bid becomes the winning bid. If the method of payment chosen by you does not enable you to pay in full within seven (7) business days for any reason (including insufficient funds or credit decline), all bids made by you will be cancelled and your account will be blocked. In such case, Botanicalauctions.com will designate the next highest bidder (provided the bidder meets reserve bid requirements) as having the winning bid. To reactivate your account and recover the ability to place further bids, a safety deposit of $25, paid via Paypal, will be required.

Each transaction on Botanicalauctions.com will show whether a reserve, or minimum, price has been established. If you are the highest bidder and meet or exceed minimum bid requirements, your bid constitutes a legal offer to buy the seed lot and you are obligated to complete the transaction. Bids are not retractable.

By entering into this Agreement and placing a bid, you agree to complete the transaction as described by this Agreement.

This Site may only be used in a lawful manner. You may not register under a false name or use an invalid or unauthorized payment method. You may not make bids under a false name, impersonate any participant, or use another participant’s password. You may not place false bids without intent to pay. The above actions will result in permanent blockage of your account.

Placing a Bid

Select the seed lot(s) you’d like to bid on.
Note that all seed lots have a minimum, or reserve, bid price. All bids must be greater than or equal to the minimum price.
Click on the “Place Bid” button; indicate the price you want to pay.
If this is your first time on the Site, you will be asked to complete a simple registration form
All bids are non-retractable, so bid wisely.
You can track the status of your bids through the link "Auctions you are bidding on" located in the left column of your control panel.

The Winning Bid

If yours is the highest bid at the close of the auction, the seed lot(s) are yours and we will notify you via email.
If two or more bids are placed at the same bid price, the bid placed the earliest takes precedence.
After receiving confirmation that you have a winning bid, go to your control panel after logging into the site. The seed lot(s) you have won will appear in the "your invoices" section with links to follow to complete the checkout process. Note that the shipping cost will be added in the paypal checkout process, and are not included in the invoice located in the control panel.
Verify your billing and shipping addresses.
Botanicalauctions.com accepts credit cards through PayPal only (www.paypal.com), as well as via regular paypal payments.

Payment

Payments must be made through PayPal at www.paypal.com.
Note: If payment is not received within three (3) business days following the close of the auction, the Site will send a second email to the winning bidder; within five (5) business days following the close of the auction, the Site will send a third email to the winning bidder. Within seven (7) business days following the close of the auction, all bids made by you will be cancelled and your account will be blocked.

Shipping

Shipping cost will be calculated while sending payment through PayPal. You may select the desired shipping method through paypal.com and the cost will be added to your invoice.

Tracking

You will receive an email confirming that your order has been shipped. It will include the tracking number. You can then track your order online by clicking on the tracking number directly through the website of the shipping company.
